YOUNGSVILLE, La. --- Mississippi College split Saturday's doubleheader, falling 2-1 in game one to Oklahoma Baptist before dominating Southeastern Oklahoma 8-0 in game two.
MC tallied three hits in game one with
Jenna Ergle,
McCall Lee, and
Brooke Fagan each having one hit a piece. Ergle collected the lone RBI, driving in Fagan in the first inning on a single to centerfield.
In game two, MC collected 12 hits as a team and held Southeastern Oklahoma to one hit offensively. Four batters finished with multiple hits with Ergle,
Jordan Moore,
Jordan LaFosse, and
Jaycee Dill each having two hits each, respectively.
Dill had a team best two triples and also drove in two runs, while scoring one run. LaFosse and Moore each scored two runs with Moore driving in one run.
MC improved to 3-1 on the season with the 8-0 win on Saturday night. The Lady Choctaws return to the field tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. where they will take on Drury at the Youngsville Sports Complex.
