Albertville, Ala. --- Mississippi College improved to 8-2 overall on the season with Sunday's 14-0 run rule over Young Harris, the Lady Choctaws fourth straight run rule of the weekend.
Over that stretch, MC scored an amazing 85 runs in the four wins, including a 12-4 win over #20 Lincoln Memorial, 36-1 win over Kentucky State, 23-1 win over Miles, and Sunday's 14-0 win.
On Sunday, MC continued their solid pitching and offensive production, pounding out 11 hits as a team.
McCall Lee led MC with three hits after going 3-of-4 at the plate with four runs batted in. She also scored two runs for the Lady Choctaws in the win.
Jenna Ergle went 2-of-3 with three runs batted in, one run scored, and a solo home run to left field in the third inning. Ergle's home run was her third home run of the season.
Kamryn Eaton finished 1-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored. Eaton also had a two-run home fun in the fourth inning which gave MC a 13-0 lead.
Eaton's home run was her fourth home run of the weekend. She finished the weekend 10-of-15 hitting (.667 batting average) with 10 runs scored, 15 runs batted in, three doubles, and four home runs.
Camryn Bailey picked up her sixth win of the season in the circle, going 3.0 innings pitched with five strikeouts, while giving up no runs, and just one hit.
MC improved to 8-2 on the season with the win. They return to the field for a three game GSC series next weekend at #12 Valdosta State. MC and VSU go head to head with a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. and p.m. in Valdosta, Ga.
