CLINTON, Miss. --- Senior day was the vibe as MC honored 19 players prior to kickoff. The Choctaws started off strong in the competition but were eventually overpowered by the Argonauts by a final score of 42-14.
MC quarterback Cameron Davis was held to just 57 yards passing while throwing for just one touchdown and running back Marcus Williams rushed for 129 yards on the day.
The Choctaws mounted just 233 yards to West Florida's 568 yards of total offense behind the arm of quarterback Peewee Jarrett who completed 14 of 25 passes for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 46 yards.
MC now sits at 3-6 and 2-5 in GSC play and will close out the season next week on the road in Cleveland as they take on the #14Â Â Delta State Statesmen (7-1, 5-1) scheduled to kickoff at 2 pm.
