MONTEVALLO, Ala. — In a hard-fought soccer match on Friday, the Lady Choctaws faced off against Montevallo in GSC action, falling by a final of 2-0 to the Lady Falcons.
The game's first goal came at the 46:37 mark, with Montevallo's Angelina Rivas finding the back of the net, assisted by Bailey Raphelt. Rivas struck again for the Lady Falcons in the 60th minute, this time with an assist from Madeline Milby.
Mississippi College tallied eight total shots on the evening with three total shots on goal as a team. Margherita Giubilato led MC with three shots with two shots on goal.
Paula Catalan and Eduarda Silva each had two shots on the day while Madison Leber added one shot. Jessi Carro made three saves during her 90 minutes on the field in goal for the Lady Choctaws
MC falls to 9-3-2 overall on the season with a GSC record of 8-3-1.The Lady Choctaws will look to regroup for the season finale on the road at Auburm Mongomery on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
