2022 Football Schedule Date and Times

CLINTON, Miss
. --- Mississippi College athletic director Kenny Bizot, along with head coach John Bland, are pleased to release the 2022 football schedule, as announced on Monday (June 20).

"I'm excited for the schedule we present in 2022," said head coach John Bland. "We will have to prepare fast, get a lot of mental and physical work done in the month of August as we lead up to our opening contest versus Albany State."

The Choctaws are slated to play four home games and six road contests in 2022, starting with a Saturday (Sept. 3) night contest at Albany State in Albany, Ga. Albany State is coming off of a season in which the program finished with 10 wins and made an appearance in the 2021 NCAA Divison II playoffs.

MC opens at home the following weekend on September 10th with a 12 p.m. kickoff time versus NAIA playoff team Keiser before returning home again in back to back weeks with a home matchup versus North Greenville on Sept. 17th to begin Gulf South Conference play.

The Choctaws will play their next two games on the road, traveling to McNeese State (Sept. 24) and West Georgia (Oct. 1).

"This is the toughest Division II conference in the country, year after year," Bland said. "Each and every week presents a great challenge that our guys are excited to meet."

Other notable contests in 2022 include a GSC road matchup at home versus Shorter on Oct. 8, back to back road GSC matchups versus Valdosta State (Oct. 15) and West Florida (Oct. 22).

The 2022 Homecoming game is scheduled for October 29th when Delta State comes to Clinton. MC will hit the road on November 5th with they take on West Alabama in Livingston, Ala. 

The season finale will take place on November 12th in a GSC matchup that will be TBA at a later date.

The Choctaws went 4-6 in 2021, capping off the season with a 28-24 win over West Alabama in Livingston.  
 
 
Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC is recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.

The athletic department sponsors 18 intercollegiate athletic programs: Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Football, Golf, Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis, Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field, Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field and Volleyball.
