ALLENDALE, Mich. --- The Mississippi College outdoor track and field programs opened their action at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships as
Cole Benoit competed in the men's 1,500 meters on Thursday, May 26 on the campus of Grand Valley State University.

Carriere, Miss., product turned in a time of 3:51.52 in the event preliminaries in the opening heat of the, which placed him 11th and 21st overall. The top 12 times of the 23-person field advance to the event finals on Saturday.

The sophomore's best time this season in event came at the Lee Last Chance Meet on May 14 as he clocked a time of 3:44.94 in Cleveland, Tenn.
