MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The Mississippi College tennis programs fell to Montevallo on Saturday with the men falling 6-1 while the women came up short 4-3 on the road.
On the men's side of the court,

Brady McDaniel/Hsiang Yi Wang got things started off early in doubles play, picking up wins of 6-2 each at No.1 and. No. 2 doubles, as the Navy and Gold looked poised for an early 1-0 lead.
However, the Falcons went on the sweep the Choctaws in all six singles matches on the afternoon, ultimately defeating MC 6-1 on the day in men's action.
The Mississippi College women's team started off strong with a 3-1 lead over Montevallo. In doubles play,
Anna Didkovska/ Anna Viliaeva and
Emma Roberts/Maria Rodriquez earned wins (6-1, 6-3) at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, picking up the 1-0 lead for MC.
In singles action,
Paulina Cota won at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-3 match victory while
Emma Roberts won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Montevallo picked up wins at No. 1, No. 4-6 singles as the Lady Falcons earned to 4-3 win over MC on Saturday in GSC action.
The men fall to 3-10 overall and 2-5 in GSC play, while the women fall to 11-5 overall and 4-4 in conference action. The Choctaws return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. on the road in Montgomery, Ala. at Auburn Montgomery.
