MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College outdoor track and field programs posted an impressive outing at the Rhodes College Seven-Way on Saturday, April 15 as the teams combined for 10 event victories.

Al Ferrill led the day with event wins in the men's hammer throw, discus and shot put. The Tickfaw, La., native recorded a personal record throw of 42.50 meters in the hammer. He followed with a second PR in the discus with a toss of 47.49 meters. He wrapped up his day with a throw of 15.42 meters in the shot put.

Seven Choctaws posted season-bests, including five lifetime personal records as the women's 5,000 meters opened the day of action.
Jazmin Hernandez won the event with a time of 17:49.03 while
Kathy Hammond took second with a time of 17:51.46, her first time breaking the 18-minute mark.

Hunter Kurz added to the event win total with a season-best time of 14:37.17 in the men's 5K.
Cole Benoit and
Brock Kelly helped the Navy and Gold sweep the top three spots. Benoit posted a season-best of 14:50.03 while Kelly clocked a PR time of 14:56.08.

Jake Russell won the men's 1,500 meters with a time 3:59.11.
Gabe Poulin finished third in the event with a time of 4:01.45.
Shemar Patten took the top spot in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.72.

Dylan Hale took the men's javelin crown with a throw of 48.22 meters.

Ezra McCaw dominated the women's 200 meters with a time of 24.77.
Ava Dickerson breaks her school record time in the women's steeplechase with a time of 11:35.10 as she takes the top spot.

Christian Balcer won the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:42.06 while
Chris Webber took second in the event with a time of 10:01.97.

Wesley Gibbs finished second in the men's 400 meters as he recorded a time of 49.18.
Gabe Hodson posted the third-fastest time in the Gulf South Conference in the men's 400 hurdles with a 55.96, which was third in the event.

Leslie Baxter took second in the women's 1,500 meters with a lifetime time of 4:50.03.
Lauren Wallace finished third with a PR time of 4:52.26.
Kelechi Christian took second in the women's 400 meters with a time of 57.55.
Brynn Holbrook finished third in the women's with a collegiate-best time of 16.07 meters. She also finished third in the women's triple jump with a distance of 10.65 meters.

Emma Langley helped added the silver-medalist list on the women's side as she ran a season-best time of 2:20.13 in the women's 800 meters. McCaw took second in the women's 100 meters with a time of 12.13.

Tytavia Hardy finished fourth in the women's high jump with a distance of 5.37 meters.
Ryleigh Borbash finished fourth in the women's high jump with a season-best distance of 1.47 meters.

Sakari Faulkner reset the school record in the women's shot put with a throw of 11.95 meters.
Kiara Vance breaks the school record with a throw of 41.61 meters to finish sixth in the women's hammer.

The men's 4x400 relay team closed out the day with a time of 3:12.34, which is sixth in the nation. The foursome of Hodson,
Will Grames, Russell and Gibbs finished second.

Mississippi College returns to action on Thursday, April 28 as it hosts the Mike McMillan Twilight.
