Lady Choctaws Fall to #4 AUM in GSC Championship Game

OXFORD, Miss. --- The improbable GSC Tournament run of the Mississippi College softball team came to and end on Saturday with an 8-2 loss to #4 Auburn Montgomery at Choccolocco Park.

The Lady Choctaws (21-20) advanced to the championship game of the tournament for the second time in four seasons, winning the title back in 2017.

MC will now wait to hear their fate for the NCAA Division II Tournament with the selection show taking place on May 16th.

  - The Warhawks added a run in the 5th to push the lead out to 4-2 on an RBI single by Kendall Tucker.
  - The big blow came when Gia Martin hit a two-out grand slam to grow the advantage to 8-2.
  - MC would not give up, however, as they loaded the bases with no outs in the 7th, but AUM struck out three straight to end the game.
