CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College softball team dropped the series finale at Lee on Saturday afternoon at Butler Field.
The Lady Choctaws (16-19, 12-14 GSC) lost 4-2, and the Flames (17-18, 14-13 GSC) swept the three-game home series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The Lady Choctaws struck first with an RBI groundout from
Annemarie Peavy that scored
Jordan LaFosse in the 2nd inning.
 - The Flames responded in their half of the 2nd, taking advantage of an MC error to tie the score at 1-1.
 - Lee took the lead in the 4th inning on a sacrifice bunt from Annalyn Ornsby that scored Laney Harris.
 - The big blow came on the next hitter as Shelby Cole hit a two-run home run to push the lead to 4-1.
 - MC was unable to break through until the 7th inning when
Gracie Trahan doubled to lead off and
Paige Hulin singled to put runners at the corners with no outs.
 -
Rayne Minor came up and hit a lined shot to third the deflected off of third baseman Taylor De Adder and led to a line drive double play.
 -
McCall Lee doubled to drive Trahan in and cut the deficit to 4-2 with two outs.
 -
Brooke Fagan hit a line drive to center field, but it went right to center fielder Lily Hatcher to end the game.
KEY STATS
 - Three Lady Choctaws had multiple hits, led by LaFosse with two and a run scored.
 - Lee had a double as part of her two hits, and
Shelby Carlson had a pair of hits to give MC 11 hits in the contest.
 -
Avery Sanders (9-13) took the loss for MC, giving up two hits and three earned runs over 3.2 innings.
 - The Flames had just four hits, but Cole's two-run home run was the difference.
 - Madison Barnett (6-5) tossed her second complete game of the weekend, giving up 11 hits and two earned runs over 7.0 innings.

 - The Lady Choctaws will wrap up the regular season next weekend with a home series against West Georgia, opening Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the MC Softball Complex.
