CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 win over Shorter on Sunday at the MC Tennis Complex.
The Lady Choctaws (8-6, 6-4 GSC) won 7-of-9 to close the regular season and clinch the #3 seed in next week's Gulf South Conference Tournament, which opens on Thursday (April 22) in Mobile, Ala.

Kennedy Rodriguez got MC off to a fast start with a 6-2 win at #3.

Fernanda Cota clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 with at #1.

Maria Rodriguez finished the sweep of doubles with a 6-4 win at #2.
SINGLES ACTION
 - MC would win all six singles matches in straight sets to wrap up the regular season.

Fernanda Cota won the #3 match by a score of 6-3, 6-1, while
Maria Rodriguez won the #4 match by a score of 6-1, 6-2.

Paulina Cota scored the match's clinching point with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #1.
 - Alas grabbed a 6-2, 6-3 win at #2, and
Kennedy Rodriguez won the #5 match by a score of 6-1, 6-4.

Julia McCarty finished the day with a 7-5, 6-2 win at #6 to give MC the 7-0 victory.
