CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team will enter the Gulf South Conference Tournament as the #8 seed after a 6-1 win over Shorter on Sunday afternoon at the MC Tennis Complex.
The Choctaws will face #1 seed Valdosta State on Thursday (April 22) in Montgomery, Ala.

DOUBLES ACTION
 - The Choctaws opened the day by taking the doubles point, winning 2-of-3 tandem matches.
 -
Joe Jarvis and
Brady McDaniel cruised to a 6-0 win at the #3 position.
 -
Matias Ballatore and
Carlos Trujillo clinched the point with a 6-4 win at #1.
SINGLES ACTION
 - Jarvis gave MC their first singles point with a 6-3, 6-0 win at #3, and
Paolo Scorzoni won the #4 match by a score of 6-4, 6-4.
 - Ballatore clinched the match with a three-set win at #1 (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).

Shane Samyn pushed the score to 5-0 with a 6-4, 6-2 win at #5.
 - The Hawks got their lone point of the day at #2, but
Maksym Konovalov gave the match its score with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #6.
