CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team opened up a four-match home swing to close out the regular season with a 7-0 win over Spring Hill on Tuesday at the MC Tennis Complex.
The Lady Choctaws (6-5) won their fifth match in the last six contests with the sweep of the Badgers (4-9).

DOUBLES ACTION
 - The Badgers played with just five players in the match, so MC needed just one win to secure the early point.

Maria Rodriguez did just that with a 6-2 win at #2.

Fernanda Cota gave the team a clean sweep with a 6-2 win at #1.
SINGLES ACTION
 - MC also took a 2-0 lead as the #6 singles match was won by default, putting the Lady Choctaws head, 2-0.

Kennedy Rodriguez tallied a clean sweep at #4 with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
 - The clinching point was scored by
Maria Rodriguez at #3 as she did not drop a single game, as well (6-0, 6-0).

Fernanda Cota pushed the advantage to 5-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 win at #2.
 - Older sister
Paulina Cota grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 victory at #1 to put MC within one win of a sweep.

Julia McCarty finished off the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5 and MC took their third sweep of the season.
