JACKSON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team battled to a 4-3 loss to Division I Jackson State on Thursday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Courts.
The Lady Choctaws (1-4) came back from an early deficit, but the Lady Tigers (6-3) held on for the win.

DOUBLES ACTION
 - After JSU won the #1 point,
Alisa Morozova and
Anna Didkovska picked up a 6-4 win at #2 to tie things up for the doubles point.
 - The #3 match went to a tie-break, but
Paulina Cota and
Maria Rodriguez fell (7-6 (7-4)) to give the Lady Tigers an early 1-0 lead.
SINGLES ACTION
 - JSU won the #6 and #2 singles points to push the lead to 3-0 and come within one point of a team victory.
 - Didkovska responded with a three-set win at #3 to give MC their first point of the match.
 - Tyra-Nicole White clinched the victory for JSU with a three-set win over
Fernanda Cota at #5Â to push the lead to 4-1.

Paulina Cota won the #1 singles match in three sets, while Morozova won in three sets to give the match its final score.
NEXT UP
 - The Lady Choctaws are scheduled to be back in action on March 27th when they host Shorter at 10:00 a.m.
