BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men and women's indoor track and field team continues to add to its list of accolades on Tuesday, March 16 as the Gulf South Conference announced its yearly awards.
 
Tytavia Hardy was named the GSC Women's Field Athlete of the Year. Will Grames was tabbed GSC Freshman of the Year while Matthew Reneker was named Men's Coach of the Year.
 
Hardy won the triple jump (12.07m; 39' 7.25") and long jump (5.41m; 17' 9") at the GSC Indoor Championships and placed second in the high jump (1.66m; 5'5.25") - all three marks were GSC records. She earned All-GSC accolades in all three events and named the Most Outstanding Overall and Most Outstanding Field Performer at the conference championship.
 
The Pensacola, Fla., native finished third at NCAA Indoor Championships where she set a personal record of 12.56m (41' 2.5") in the triple jump and All-American laurels. She was tabbed United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Region Female Field Athlete of the Year.
 
Grames received the Most Outstanding Freshman at the conference championships. He was a member of the 4x400-relay team that won the conference championship with a time of 3:20.86 and picked up All-GSC First Team accolades. He claimed bronze in the 400 meters (49.93) and was fourth in the 200 meters (22.48).
 
Reneker helped lead the Choctaws to the GSC Indoor Championship in his first season at the helm of the program. MC had six event championships, 22 All-GSC honors and set two meet records, including three GSC Championship award honorees. His athletes have 19 top-five regionally ranked marks. He was named the USTFCCCA South Regional Men's Coach of the Year.
