MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE 1, #13 UAH 0 (9 INNINGS)
HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The game was a pitcher's duel from the start as
Avery Sanders and Layton Murphy went toe-to-toe for nine innings.
 - The Chargers were able to get baserunners on in the first three innings, but double plays ended each threat and kept the game scoreless.
 -
Rayne Minor led off the game with a single for MC and advanced to third, but that was the one big chance for MC early on.
 - UAH appeared poised to score in the 8th as they loaded the bases with two outs, but Sanders coaxed a fly ball to end the threat.
 - MC also got runners to second and third in their half of the 8th, but Murphy kept the game scoreless with an infield pop-out.
 - The Chargers again put runners at second and third in the 9th, but Sanders tossed her final of five strikeouts to keep UAH of the board.
 - In MC's half of the 9th,
Brooke Fagan led off with a hit-by-pitch and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from
Jordan LaFosse.
 - Bradford stepped in and crushed a 1-0 pitch to right-center field and Fagan scored the game-winning run.
KEY STATS
 - Sanders (4-8) won her second game of the season, tossing her first shutout of the season with five strikeouts and four hits allowed.
 - Murphy (5-4) gave up five hits and struck out five, but three of MC's hits came in extra innings.
 -
Paige Hulin led MC with two hits in the contest, while Ashley Cornell led the Chargers with a pair of base-knocks.
