CLEVELAND, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team grabbed a much-needed win with a 5-2 road victory over Delta State on Saturday afternoon at the Cleveland Country Club.

DOUBLES ACTION
 - The Lady Choctaws opened the match by taking 2-of-3 doubles matches to get the first point.
 -
Ely Alas and
Fernanda Cota got off to a fast start with a 6-0 victory at #1.
 -
Paulina Cota and
Maria Rodriguez clinched the early lead with a 6-2 win at #3.
SINGLES ACTION
 - In singles play,
Alisa Morozova got things started with a straight-set win at #4 (6-3, 6-1).
 - Then,
Anna Didkovska pushed to lead to 3-0 with a straight-set win at #3, both in tie-breaks (7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4).
 -
Paulina Cota clinched the match at #1 with a three-set victory to give MC the requisite four points (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
 - After the Lady Statesmen picked up two points,
Kennedy Rodriguez gave MC the final score with a straight-set win at #6 (6-0, 6-4).
NEXT UP
 - The Lady Choctaws are not scheduled to play against until Saturday, March 27th at home against Shorter.
