Lady Choctaws Stumble at #21 West Alabama

LIVINGSTON, Ala. --- The Mississippi College women's tennis team dropped a mid-week contest to nationally-ranked West Alabama, 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon at Vaughan Tennis Complex.

The Lady Choctaws fell to 0-3 on the season with an 0-2 mark in GSC play, while the Tigers improved to 5-1 with a 3-0 league mark.

DOUBLES ACTION
  - The Tigers picked up the doubles point by winning all three tandem matches.
  - The tightest competition came at #2 where Anna Didkovska and Alisa Morozova fell by a score of 6-4.

SINGLES ACTION
  - The Lady Choctaws took home their point with a win by Ely Alas at #2 in three sets (6-2, 4-6, 5-7).
  - Morozova played a tight, three-set match and fell in a tie-break at #4 (3-6, 7-5, 10-8).
  - The Tigers won the other four singles matches in straight sets.

NEXT UP
  - The Lady Choctaws will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Cleveland to face rival Delta State at 1:00 p.m.
