CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's cross country team finished third at the Gulf South Conference Championship on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Choctaw Trails.

A quartet of Choctaws claimed All-GSC honors topped by
Gabe Poulin, who grabbed first team accolades. Poulin turned in a time of 24:27.38 in the 8K race.

Cole Benoit,
Evan del Rio and
Christian Balcer brought home second team honors. Benoit posted a time of 24:50.42 in 12th place with del Rio in 15th as he clocked a 24:53.29. Balcer added a time of 24:57.83 in 18th.

Hunter Kurz finished 23rd with a time of 25:13.45 followed by
Adam Gomez and
Braedon Methvin in 29th and 30th. Gomez posted a time of 25:38.65 while Methvin clocked a 25:41.30.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville took the top team title followed by Lee University, who grabbed the top two individual spots in the race. Christian Noble finished first with a time of 23:56.28 while Silas Eckenroad notched a time of 24:19.58. UAH's Jay Day clocked a 24:25.95 in third.

Mississippi College now focuses on the NCAA South Regional set for Saturday, Nov. 6 at Saint Leo, Fla.
