BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's indoor track and field team competed at the KMS Open on Sunday, Jan. 31 inside the Birmingham Crossplex.

EVENT WINS

Gabe Poulin won the 5,000 meters as he posted a time of 15:04.29.

INDOOR PERSONAL RECORDS

Cole Benoit took silver in the 5,000 meters behind teammate Poulin. Benoit posted an indoor PR time of 15:13.52.
Adam Gomez finished seventh in the event with an indoor PR time if 15:38.11.

Daviciea McCartney added a pair of indoor PRs during the meet. McCartney recorded a triple distance leap of 14.45 meters and added a distance of 7.12 meters in the long jump. McCartney finished second in both events.
-Benjamin Woolhouse tied his PR in the pole vault with a distance of 4.40 meters. He finished third.

Al Ferrill reset his indoor PR in the weight throw as he recorded a distance of 16.31. Ferrill took bronze in the event.

Damon Wright posted a PR throw of 14.49 in the shot put as he took sixth in the event.

Fabio Palmieri clocked a time of 49.37 as he took seventh in the 400 meters.

Chris Webber recorded a time of 4:28.11 in the mile as he finished 10th in the event.

TOP 10 FINISHES
-The 4x400 relay team took bronze as the quartet of
Dalton Dempsey,
Jake Russell,
Connor Stewart and
Will Grames posted a time of 3:20.80.
-Ferrill turned in a distance of 14.76 meters in the shot put to claim fourth place.

Rakeem Wilson finished seventh in the 200 meters as he recorded a time of 22.14.

Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, Feb. 12 as it travels back to Birmingham for the Samford University Invitational. The two-day event runs through Sat. Feb. 13 at the Crossplex.
