#20 Chargers Topple Choctaws, 91-79

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team battled back from another big road deficit but could not complete the comeback in a 91-79 loss to #20 UAH on Sunday afternoon at Spragins Hall.

The Choctaws (0-2, 0-2 GSC) had a shot in the final seconds to get a come-from-behind win on Saturday, and they erased an 18-point deficit on Sunday, cutting the Charger (4-1, 4-0 GSC) advantage to just three, but MC came home with a pair of losses to the nationally-ranked opponent.

The Choctaws were scheduled to be back on the road for the next two weekend series against West Alabama (Jan. 8-9) and Christian Brothers (Jan. 15-16), but both have been postponed due to GSC COVID-19 protocols. MC's next scheduled action is on Friday, January 22nd when they will host Union (TN) for the first home game of the 2020-21 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  - The Choctaws would respond, however, by scoring the next 15 points, capped off by a bucket from Winford Ross with 10:46 remaining to make the score 62-59.
