CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team capped off a two-match week that saw 15 goals scored with an 8-1 win over UAH on Sunday afternoon at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
The Lady Choctaws improved to 4-1 with a 2-0 mark in Gulf South Conference play after their fourth straight win. The Chargers fell to 2-4-1 with an 0-2 league record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The scoring started in the 5th minute as freshman
Erin Hederman scored her second goal in as many matches on an assist from senior
Katie Taylor.
 - The eventual game-winning goal came from Taylor in the 19th minute as she found the back of the net for the 5th time this week on a helper from freshman
Kaylee Foster.
 - Freshman
Anna Crapanzano notched her first goal of the season in the 35th minute as freshman
Ashton Storey tallied her tallied the first of her two assists.
 - Two more freshman closed out the half with goals to push the lead to 5-0 as
Avery Hederman scored in the 35th minute and
Emma Young scored in the 43rd on assists from Storey and senior
Liza Wise.
 - The second half opened with senior
Jess Davenport scoring her first of the season in the 52nd minute on an assist from
Erin Hederman.
 - Senior
Lauren Kate Carter added a goal in the 53rd minute on an assist from Taylor, while Storey capped the scoring in the 70th minute on helpers from Young and senior
Jordan Dillon.
 - The Chargers would get on the board in the 83rd minute with a penalty kick goal from Carly Fee after a hand ball in the box by MC.

KEY STATS
 - The Lady Choctaws outshot the Chargers by a count of 23-10 with 17 shots coming on goal to just two for UAH.
 - Eight different players scored goals for MC with Taylor and Storey leading the way with two assists apiece.
 - Senior
Gabby Kayser recorded a save in her 90 minutes between the pipes.
 - Adriana Wright took the loss in goal for UAH, making seven saves with five goals allowed over 45 minutes played.

 - The Lady Choctaws are now 5-1 all-time against UAH, including winning five straight and outscoring them 25-3 over that stretch.
 - The eight goals is the most for an MC team since putting up 13 against LeTourneau on October 5, 2013.

 - The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 4) night when they travel to Cleveland, Tenn. to face Lee University at 4:00 p.m. (Central).
