CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team erased a two-goal, second-half deficit to pick up a 3-2 overtime victory over UAH on Sunday afternoon at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
The Choctaws improved to 3-1-2 on the season with a 2-0 mark in the Gulf South Conference, while the Chargers fell to 2-3-1 with a 1-1 league record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The Chargers got things going early as Rafa Moreno scored in just the second minute, finishing a beautiful cross on a free kick by Vicente Arratia.
 - They would take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break but would extend the advantage to 2-0 in the 53rd minute as Ethan Wilson scored on assists from Moreno and Arratia.
 - Starting in the 64th minute, the game continued to get more and more chippy as Deivi Bucio was sent off for his second yellow card, putting the Chargers down a man over the final 25 minutes.
 - The Choctaws would cut the lead in half in the 70th minute as senior Isaac Gonazalez scoreed his second goal of the season on a stellar cross from senior
Joshua Robinson.
 - In the 75th minute, the Chargers went down another man as Khalil Bell was given a straight red card following a collision with MC goalkeeper
Alejandro Chavarria.
 - The red card was met with disappointment from head coach John Carrier as he picked up back-to-back yellow cards to be sent off.
 - MC would take advantage of playing two more men as Gonzalez scored his second of the match to equalize in the 87th minute on an assist from junior
Joshua Davies.
 - The match would go into overtime and in the 97th minute, senior
Marco Sellan scored the "Golden Goal" on an assist from senior
Michael Kuwornu to give the Choctaws a 3-2 victory.

KEY STATS
 - The Choctaws took 24 shots to 15 for the Chargers with six MC shots coming on goal and four UAH shots coming against the keeper.
 - Sellan led the Choctaws with six shots, including a pair on goal and the game-winner.
 - Antonio Goncalves and Moreno led the Chargers with five shots apiece.
 - Chavarria picked up the win for the Choctaws, making two saves with two goals allowed over the nearly 97 minutes.
 - Drew Kelly took the loss for UAH, making three saves with three goals allowed.

GAME NOTES
 - The Choctaws are now 2-4-1 all-time against the Chargers with this being their first win since a 1-0 victory in Huntsville on October 2, 2016.
 - It's the first golden goal victory for the Choctaws since erasing a two-goal deficit against Delta State last September 21st with a 3-2 win on a goal from
Jorge Fernandez in the 108th minute.
