Choctaws Earn Scoreless Draw at Harding

SEARCY, Ark. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team completed their second straight shutout for the first time in two years in a scoreless draw at Harding University on Friday night at Steven Soccer Complex.
 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  - The Choctaws (1-0-1) had more scoring opportunities in the opening 45 minutes, putting up nine shots to just three for the Bison (1-0-1).
  - Harding responded in the second half with a shot advantage of 9-4, but MC put seven shots towards frame in the overtime period with just two for the home squad.
 

KEY STATS
  - The Choctaws put up 20 total shots to 14 for the Bison, and MC tallied nine corners to just one for the homestanding team.
  - Junior Alejandro Chavarria made seven saves between the pipes for the Choctaws, while Carlos Calderon stopped three shots for Harding.
  - Junior Marco Sellan had a match-high five shots with one on goal, while Christian Ramos led the Bison with four shots.
 

NEXT UP
  - The Choctaws will remain in Arkansas to face Ouachita Baptist on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Arkadelphia.
