MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- Freshman
Baylee Freudenberg came off the bench and drove in the game-winning run in the seventh inning with a two-out RBI double to give the Mississippi College softball team a 4-3 win over Christian Brothers on Friday afternoon at Bland Field.
The Lady Choctaws improved 29-10 on the season with an 11-7 mark in the Gulf South Conference, while the Lady Bucs fell to 9-28 with a 1-17 league record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
>> The Lady Choctaws scored two early runs as senior

>> The Lady Bucs responded with a solo home run in the second inning to cut the lead in half.
>> CBU would tie the game in the third on an RBI single, but Peavy turned a double play to end the threat and keep the score tied.
>> No more runs would score until the sixth when junior
Abbey Salvo led off with a single, stole second and scored on a two-out RBI single by senior
Alexia Harmon.
>> The Lady Bucs would not go away, however, as they tied the game with an RBI single of their own in the sixth, but junior
Shayla McKissock threw out the go-ahead runner at the plate to keep the score 3-3.
>> The game-winning run scored for MC in the seventh when Freudenberg stroked a pinch-hit double to right-center field that brought junior
Hayden Claypool across home plate.
