CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College Men's Tennis team comes up short on Senior Day in Gulf South Conference play this morning against the Falcons of the University of Montevallo. The Falcons were able to edge out the Choctaws by a final score of 4-3. It was the last match of the regular season and the last home match for three Choctaw Seniors
Matthew Burks,
William Clausen and
Max Nilges. MC will finish the year 5-13 overall and 3-7 in the GSC.
The Choctaws are not yet finished in 2019, as they have qualified for the GSC Tournament in Montgomery, Ala. The standings are not yet final but it seems that MC will be the #7 seed and will likely face West Florida in the first round on Thursday May 2. The time of that match is still to be announced and the opponent could change depending on the final standing so stay tuned to gochoctaws.com for details.
