GAME ONE: MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE 2, WEST GEORGIA 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Creel (6-0) opened the day with a flourish as she struck out the first three Wolves she faced.
- The offense got things going quickly, as well, as sophomore
Ashley Elsensohn reached on an infield single and scored on a one-out triple by freshman
Annemarie Peavy.
- It would be the only offense either team could muster until the bottom of the sixth inning when MC took advantage of two walks and two hit-by-pitches as freshman
Gracie Trahan drew a base on balls to bring home junior
Abbey Salvo and make the score 2-0.
- The Wolves put on some pressure in the seventh inning with a leadoff double, but Creel got out of the jam allowing just one run as the Lady Choctaws won their seventh straight game.
KEY STATS
- Creel staked claim to a no-hitter through 5.0 innings and struck out a career-high 10 as she improved to 6-0 on the season.
- Neither team had a player with multiple hits in the game, but the Lady Choctaws stole four bases in the contest.
- Morgan Goree (1-5) took the loss in the circle for UWG, striking out nine with five walks over 5.2 innings.
Â
GAME TWO: MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE 13, WEST GEORGIA 0
HOW IT HAPPENED

Alexia Harmon that chased home Peavy, junior
Carly Crawford and freshman

- The second inning featured another five-spot for the MC offense, this time by way of the long ball as Crawford launched a three-run shot to left field, pushing the lead out to 9-0.
- Senior

- Those three also drove in multiple runs with Crawford brining home four, Harmon chasing home three and Peavy driving in a pair.
- Peavy also scored a team-high three runs, while junior
