ROME, Ga. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to four matches in a 2-0 win over Shorter on Sunday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
The Choctaws improved to 4-1-3 with a 3-0-1 Gulf South Conference record, while the Hawks fell to 4-4-1 with an 0-2-1 league mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - The Choctaws notched the game-winning goal in the 14th minute as freshman
Antoine Recizac scored his first goal of the season on an assist from junior
Marco Sellan.
 - The match would go into the halftime break with MC leading 1-0 and junior goalkeeper
Alejandro Chavarria making three saves.
 - The second half saw more scoreless action until the final five minutes when sophomore
Bruno Ribeiro Cantoni scored his first of the season to give the Choctaws the 2-0 advantage.

KEY STATS
 - The Choctaws held an 11-6 edge in shots in the match, putting five shots on goal and holding Shorter to just one shot on goal in the second half.
 - Chavarria made four saves for the Choctaws to tally his fifth shutout in eight matches this season.
 - Recizac, Sellan and senior
Owen Connelly led the Choctaws with two shots apiece.
 - Felix Guijosa had two shots on goal for the Hawks, while Matthew Shorrocks made three saves in net.

 - The Choctaws are now 4-1-1 all-time against Shorter with a five-match unbeaten streak against the Hawks.
 - The MC defense has now allowed a goal to the Hawks in Rome since 2014.
