MONTEVALLO, Ala. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team dropped a straight-sets contest at the University of Montevallo on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Jamie Boros led the Choctaws with 11 kills in the match followed by
Lexi Richards with eight in the contest.
Lexie Laurendine dished out 15 assists while
Levi Lennard added 11.

Defensively,
Julia Martin posted 17 digs followed by 12 from
Brandi Bundy. MC totaled seven blocks in the match led by
Autumn Frost with four.
Kate Bass became the program's single-season solo blocks leader with two solos in the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons used a 6-0 run midway through the first set to break a 9-all tie and take a 15-9 lead before picking up a 25-14 win. UM hit .375 during the set.
- UM opened the second set on an 11-5 run en route to posting a .308 attack clip and claiming a 25-17 lead.
- The Purple and Gold opened the third set on an 8-3 run. MC cut into the deficit to 22-18, but UM closed the set out with three of the next four points.

- Bass has 40 solo blocks in her debut season for the Choctaws.
- Boros recorded her team-best 18th match with double-digit kills.
