CLINTON, Miss. --- Freshman
Kaylee Foster scored in the 87th minute to give the Mississippi College women's soccer team their 11th straigth win in a 1-0 victory over rival Delta State on Thursday afternoon at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
The Lady Choctaws (11-1, 9-0 GSC) clinched a spot in the Gulf South Conference Tournament with the win, marking the fourth straight year they will qualify for the league's postseason tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - Both teams struggled to get much offense going in the first half with the Lady Choctaws tallying five shots with four on goal, while the Lady Statesmen (4-5-4, 4-4-1 GSC) had just one shot, overall.
 - In the second half, it was much of the same as took seven shots with three on goal and only allowing one wayward shot from DSU.
 - The match appeared destined for overtime until senior
Liza Wise sent a beautiful ball over the Delta State back line that Foster put away for the game-winner.

 - The Lady Choctaws outshot the Lady Statesmen by a total count of 12-2, putting eight shots on goal and allowing none.
 - The goal was Foster's fourth of the season, ranking her fourth on the team.
 - The MC defense tallied their 5th shutout of the season and fourth in the last five matches.

 - The Lady Choctaws are currently ranked 6th in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25, the highest ranking in school history.
