#6 Lady Choctaws Come Back to Get 2-1 Win at West Georgia

CARROLLTON, Ga. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team got a goal from senior Liza Wise in the 87th minute to complete a 2-1 come-from-behind win over West Georgia on Sunday afternoon at University Field.

The Lady Choctaws (10-1, 8-0 GSC) have won straight matches since a season-opening loss to Saint Leo, while the Wolves (4-7-1, 2-5 GSC) have lost four straight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  - The Wolves cracked the scoreboard first as Madison Cobb found the back of the net in the 5th minute on an assist from Karley Baker and Tyler Buford.
  - UWG would hold on to the 1-0 lead going into halftime, despite the Lady Choctaws holding a 15-5 edge in shots in the opening 45 minutes.
  - The second half was much of the same until the 64th minute when senior Katie Taylor tied things up with her 11th goal of the season, getting an assist from freshman Erin Hederman.
  - The match remained tied into the final minutes until Wise scored her second of the season, finiding the back of the net in the 87th minute.
