CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team won their 7th straight match with a 2-0 victory over Union University on Friday afternoon at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
The Lady Choctaws improved to 7-1 with a 5-0 Gulf South Conference record, while the Lady Bulldogs dropped to 2-5 with a 1-3 league mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 - While the Lady Choctaws outshot their opponents by a count of 22-2 in the first half, they took just a 1-0 lead into the halftime break on the strength of a 28th minute goal from senior

 - The second half would be much of the same as MC hold possession and provide multiple scoring chances, but the score remained at 1-0 until the final minute.

Katie Taylor gave the game its final score with 50 seconds remaining as she notched her 10th goal of the year on an assist from junior
Lexi Pund.

 - The Lady Choctaws ended up outshooting the Lady Bulldogs by a count of 37-4 on the day.
 - Hederman led the way with nine shots, while Taylor put up eight shots and five on goal.

Gabby Kayser collected her second shutout of the season, making two saves.
 - Rylee Iorio took the loss for Union, despite making 13 saves and allowing just the pair of goals.
