Choctaws Blank Spring Hill, 9-0

MOBILE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team shut out the Badgers of Spring Hill College 9-0 on Monday, March 12. With the win, the Choctaws record improved to 5-6 overall.
 
In doubles play, the duo of Joan Valy and Marcos Rocca improved their 2018 record to a team-best 8-2 on the season with their 9-8 (7-3) edging of  Cedric Nitz and Lars Bajohr in the number one flight. In the number three matchup, Ben Jarvis and Trey Randall made their debut as a duo, with an 8-0 ousting of Chris Mines and Andrew Risley
 
In singles action, the Choctaws took all six points from the Badger in straight sets. Lucio Menezes and Rocca both picked up their team-best 9th win on the season with their victories. In the number six flight, Jarvis picked up his first collegiate win over Andrew Risley 6-3, 6-2.
 
The Choctaws will return to action on Saturday, March 24 when they host Christian Brothers for a GSC tilt, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
