CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team could not overcome 20 turnovers in a 97-79 home loss to West Georgia on Saturday afternoon in A.E. Wood Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Choctaws (9-11, 6-9 GSC) and the Wolves (11-11, 6-9 GSC) went back and forth in the first half and a three-pointer by
Otis Harvey with 8:18 remaining gave MC a 24-22 lead.
- UWG would open up a seven-point lead in the first half and eventually take a 39-35 lead into the break.
- In the second half, the first 11 points ao take a 50-35 lead and would eventually push the advantage out to 23 in the second half.
- The Choctaws would chip away at the lead, eventually cutting the score to 81-75 with 4:08 remaining on a three-pointer by
Antonio Johnson.
- The Wolves would close out the game, however, on a 16-4 run to pick up the convincing road win.

- The Choctaws were led by sophomore
Brandon Boston with 24 points, going 11-of-20 from the field.
- Junior
Donovan Ham (12) and senior
Xavion Dillon (15) also scored in double-figures for the Choctaws.
- Johnson scored six points with a career-high 10 rebounds.
- Marquill Smith led the Wolves with 31 points, while Paul Turner scored 20.
- Karlos Odum (16) and Laperion Perry (14) also scored in double-figures, while Aren Ulmer had a game-high 15 assists.
