HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team fell 71-63 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Spragins Hall. MC moves to 9-16 on the season and 5-14 in the Gulf South Conference. UAH improved to 13-13 overall and 7-12 in the conference.

Down 61-59 late in the game, Morgan Tipton knocked down a 3-pointer with 2:03 left to play to place UAH up 62-61. Tipton finished with ended with 12 points in the game – third most for the Chargers.

- A trio of Lady Choctaws scored in double figures led by Lauran Sheriff's team-best 17 points. Kelley Allen added 14 points while Ieisha Lacey chimed in 11 points.
- Allen and Lacey led the Navy and Gold on the glass. Allen grabbed a team-best nine boards while Lacey pulled down eight.
- Kaitlyn Thompson recorded a pair of blocks in the game as MC collected four total.
- Mississippi College posted a season-low nine miscues as it forced UAH into 20 turnovers.

- Thompson tied a career-high with the two blocks in the game. The Cleveland, Miss., sophomore has seven games in her career with two or more blocks.
- The loss is the second straight to the Chargers and the eighth in the series.
