CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 20 as it hosts the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTESÂ
• Mississippi College and Arkansas-Monticello meet for the fifth time in program history. The series is deadlocked at 2-2 with UAM claiming the last two meetings (Jan. 15, 1996 and Feb. 12, 1996). The series started on Jan. 8, 1982 with MC claiming a 77-65 win over the Cotton Blossoms in Monticello, Ark.
• The Lady Choctaws are 2-0 at home this season with wins over Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference members Lane College (W, 69-60) and LeMoyne-Owen College (70-66). Tuesday's contest is the third in a string of four straight home outings for the Lady Choctaws.
• A trio of Lady Choctaws are averaging double figures this season led by
Zariah Matthews with 12.7 points per game. The Bogue Chitto, Miss., junior is the only Lady Choctaw to score in double figures three times this season.

Coco Hobson and
Zan Ratcliffe join Matthews in averaging double-digits this season. Hobson, who scored a season-high 15 points in the win over LeMoyne-Owen, sits second on the team in scoring with 11.3 points while Ratcliffe averages 10 points.
• Sophomore
Lauran Sheriff paces the Navy and Gold on the glass with 8.7 rebounds per game. The Jackson, Miss., native has a season-high nine boards in the last two contests.
• Mississippi College has out-rebounded its opponents in the first three games this season. The Lady Choctaws hold a plus-seven advantage on the boards and have 40-plus rebounds in the last two outings.
• Mississippi College ranks second in the Gulf South Conference in field goal percentage (45.5) behind Union's 46.9 clip and leads the conference in free throw percentage (82.8).
• Arkansas-Monticello enters the Tuesday tilt looking for its first win of the season. UAM fell to Lindenwood and Lincoln in the Great American Conference-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Challenge.
• Mackenzie Johnson and Chari Swift pace the Cotton Blossoms in scoring with 14.5 and 14.0 points per game. Swift also paces UAM on the glass with 8.0 rebounds per outing.
