CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team picked up a 69-60 win over Lane College on Tuesday, Nov. 13 to even its record at 1-1 on the season. Lane moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The win is the sixth in the series for the Lady Choctaws.

A trio of Lady Choctaws scored in double figures in the game led by 13 from
Emery Wilson.
Zariah Matthews added 11 with 10 coming from
Lauran Sheriff. Sheriff also grabbed a team-best nine rebounds.

Mississippi College used a 13-0 run over the final 2:40 to grab the nine-point victory. Matthews started the run with the first six points and MC went 5-for-6 from the free throw line.

- Jamilah Sanders recorded a career-high six steals – all coming in the first half. Her previous best was two set three times last season.
- Sheriff was one rebound shy of her fourth, career double-double.
- Hobson grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in the game.
- MC outscored Lane 34-28 in the paint and posted 10 more fast break points (27-17) in the contest.
- Kaleigh Wren made her MC debut in the game.

Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 17 as it hosts LeMoyne-Owen College. Tip-off against the Magicians is set for 2 p.m. MC holds the all-time series against LOC at 3-0. The two squads have met the last two seasons with the inaugural meeting coming on Feb. 4, 1993.
