JACKSON, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team was able to score three goals in the second half and come from behind to defeat Union University 3-1 this afternoon.
The Choctaws will improve to 6-4-0 overall and 4-3 in Gulf South Conference play.
The Bulldogs will fall to 1-6-3 overall and 1-4-2 in Gulf South Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After 37 minutes of even play, Union was able to strike first when A.J. Morgado scored on a cross from Gavin Scott giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
- The Choctaws comeback started in the 64
th minute thanks to captain
Connor Johnson drilling in a penalty kick opportunity to tie the match at 1-1.
- MC would then take the lead just four minutes later when
Wanner Paiz struck on a pass from
Andy Alanis making the score 2-1 in favor of the Choctaws.
- The Choctaws were able seal the victory in the 85
th minute when Paiz found Chris Williams who put it in the net and completed the 3-1 comeback victory.
KEY STATS
- The Choctaws are becoming the kings of the comeback in GSC play as three of their four GSC wins have been in comeback fashion.

Connor Johnson scored his 6
th goal on the year and kept the team perfect on penalty kick attempts for the season improving the mark to 5-5.

Wanner Paiz was the star of the match as he was able to score the eventual game winner and have the assist on the dagger goal by Williams in the 85
th minute. The goal was Paiz's third on the year and the assist was his first.

NEXT UP
- The Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday Oct. 16
th when they travel to Searcy, Arkansas to face Harding University in a match that was re-scheduled from earlier in the season. The match is currently scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start time.
