Shelby Grace Mays made Mississippi College volleyball history as the Choctaws fall in four sets to the University of Montevallo. The Choctaws move to 7-14 on the season and 1-9 in Gulf South Conference action while UM improved to 16-3 and 7-2 in the league.
Laurendine became just the second player in school history to record a triple-double and the first in the Gulf South Conference this season with 15 kills, 22 assists and 12 digs in the match. Mays became a member of the 500 career kill club with nine kills against the Falcons.

TURNING POINT
Montevallo went a 6-1 run in the third set to grab a 14-9 advantage and never looked back in the match. The Choctaws trailed early in the set, but rallied to knot the contest at 8-all before the Purple and Gold went on the scoring spurt to retake the lead en route to a 25-19 win.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Laurendine's kills and assists were both tops on the team while her dig total was second. The kill total also marked a season-high and surpasses her previous best set against West Alabama on Oct. 2. The Clinton, Miss., native's assist total is her ninth this season with 20-plus.
- Freshman Jamie Boros logged her 12th match with double figure kills and finished one of tying for the team lead.
- Senior Jill Brown has her 10th match with 20-plus digs and the sixth of the season. The Elkhart, Ind., native also recorded a career-high in assists as she surpassed her previous high set at Alcorn State on Sept. 6.
- Sophomore Kaitlyn Wilson recorded her first collegiate dig.
- Freshman Jamie Boros set season-highs in block assists and total blocks.
- Freshman Grace Rich tied her season-high in assists.
- Junior Julia Martin tied a season-high in service aces.
