MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team played to a double overtime draw against Auburn Montgomery this Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action.
The Choctaws will move to 6-5-1 on the season and 4-4-1 in GSC play.
The Warhawks will move to 3-10-2 on the year and 2-5-2 in GSC play. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first half, both teams were evenly match for the most part with MC having a slight offensive edge outshooting the Warhawks eight to five.
- MC was able to dominate the Warhawks in the second 45 minutes of play firing off 12 shots compared to AUM's two but neither team was able to score and the match headed to overtime.
- The first overtime was slow has only one shot was taken between both teams but the second overtime was an intense ten minutes. Ten shots were taken between the two teams, seven for AUM and three for MC but both teams failed to convert ending the match in a 0-0 draw.

KEY STATS
- Both goalkeepers had outstanding performances on the afternoon with MC's
Goncalo Pernas recording two saves and AUM's Alexander Kraus recorded an amazing ten saves in the contest.
- The match was very physical with 37 fouls being called, along with four yellow cards and one red card being awarded. For MC a yellow card was awarded to
Rafael Costa and the lone red card was given to
Vance Dewberry.
- Once again for the second straight match, the Choctaws were the more aggressive team in the stats but failed to convert on the scoreboard. MC outshot AUM 24 to 14 in the match and had 11 corner kick opportunities that resulted in nothing for the Choctaws.

- The Choctaws will be back in action for the final two games of the regular season next week as they host West Florida on Thursday Oct. 25th and then Spring Hill on Saturday Oct. 27
