CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team will look to snap a two-game losing streak when they host Montevallo on Monday night. Tip-off in A.E. Wood Coliseum is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
THE SERIES
This will be just the third all-time meeting between the two schools with each winning a contest. The Choctaws came out on top in their last game with a 77-63 win in Clinton on November 25, 1995. The Falcons won the first game between the squads with a 65-62 win on November 27, 1993.

Don Lofton, dropped a pair of road Gulf South Conference games last week to two of the top teams in the league (West Florida and Valdosta State). Junior
Donovan Ham averaged 22.0 points per game over the trip, including 6-of-10 three pointers.
In the loss to VSU, MC hung around in the first half until the Blazers went on an 18-6 to close the period and would not lead by less than 15 the rest of the way. Ham tied a season-high with 25
points, while sophomore
Brandon Boston tallied a double-double with a career-high 22 points.
Ham (14.5 ppg) leads the team in scoring and is averaging 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. Senior
Antonio Johnson (12.1 ppg) leads the squad with 4.7 assists per game and is shooting 40% from the three-point line. Boston (11.2 ppg) leads the team with 6.5 boards per contest.
On the year, the Choctaws rank 3rd in the GSC in assists per game (17.2) and are 5th in blocked shots per contest (3.8). MC also sits 6th in scoring offense (81.6 ppg) and are 13th in scoring defense (84.0 ppg).
MONTEVALLO (8-9, 3-5 GSC)

The Falcons, led by 14th-year head coach Danny Young, are in their first season in the Gulf South Conference, making the move from the Peach Belt. They have enjoyed success in their home building this year, going 6-2, but they are just 1-4 in true road games and 2-7 away from Montevallo.
Jamaar Taylor (24.6 ppg) is the team's leading scorer but has not played since January 4th against West Alabama. Chris Williams (16.2 ppg) and Jeremiah Curtis (10.1 ppg) are scoring in double-figures, while Julio Guity (7.7 ppg) is pulling down a team-high 8.7 rebounds per contest.
Montevallo is coming off a 53-38 loss to Delta State on Saturday that saw them shoot just 36% from the field and turn the ball over 21 times.
Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC is recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.
