Emily McNair's goal in the 88
th minute proved to be the difference maker in the Mississippi College women's soccer team's 1-0 Gulf South Conference Victory over Valdosta State on Sunday afternoon.

- McNair's game-winning goal in the waning final minutes of Sunday's match marked for her first as a Lady Choctaw. McNair's shot came from inside the circle, with the help from
Madison Moser.

KEY STATS
- The Lady Choctaws outshot the Blazers 14-11 in the contest. MC took six shots in the first half, and eight in the second.
- Seven of the Lady Choctaws 14 shots came on goal.
- The Lady Choctaw defense put together another solid outing, behind a strong performance from goalkeeper
Andrea McDonald. The MC keeper recorded her GSC-best fifth shutout of the season, while tallying a season-high seven saves on the afternoon. McDonald improved her record to 4-1-1 on the season with the win.
- MC took four corner kicks in the contest, while holding Valdosta State to just one.
- MC was tagged for the only five fouls handed out in the match.

- With the win, MC improves to 6-1-1 on the season, and 5-1 in GSC play.
- The win marks for the Lady Choctaws sixth shutout in eight games this year.
