REDUS COMMENTS
Tonight was just the win we needed. We came off a hard week last week on the road and experienced some tough losses, but tonight I really think our attitudes were different. We were choosing to execute and run the offense and we stayed disciplined to our defensive system. We took it one point at a time and really trusted the people beside us to help us get the win.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
MC rallied in the opening set for a 25-22 win. The Lady Choctaws trailed 10-6 early, but 6-2 run to deadlock the contest at 12-all. MC used the spurt to grab a 16-12 lead that it never relinquished.
Â
A back and forth second set saw the two squads tied at 23-all. A pair of
Madison Frazier kills pushed MC in front 25-24 as the Lady Choctaws clinched the two-lead on a Wolfpack miscue.
Â
The Lady Choctaws led midway through the third set, but an 8-4 Loyola run tied the contest at 22-all. MC capitalized on a Wolfpack service error and collected a kill from
Ashton King and Frazier to clinch the set and the match at 25-22.
