MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 defeat to the Warhawks of Auburn Montgomery on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Choctaw's record falls to 8-5 on the season.

The Choctaws picked up their lone point of the match in doubles play, when
Joan Valy and
Marcos Rocca knocked off Birkir Gunnarsson and Vincent Dubosclard 8-6. The duo's win improved them to a team-best 9-1 as a pair on the season.

In singles action, Valy and
Max Nilges both took their opponents to third sets, but would fall in the tiebreaker match.

Up next for the Choctaws, they will travel to Pensacola, Fla. On Friday March 31 to take on the #1 ranked West Florida Argonauts. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
