CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College softball team completed a doubleheader sweep of Division I Alcorn State on Wednesday afternoon at the MC Softball Complex.

- The Lady Braves would tie things up in the fourth inning when Kaylene Smith drove in a run with two outs and the bases loaded.
- Sophomore Penny Nichols (7-5) was able to limit the damage, however, striking out Sametria Collins to end the threat.
- MC would answer with three runs in their half of the fourth as freshman pinch-runner Shayla McKissock scored the eventual game-winning run on a stolen base and an error by ASU.
