THE SERIES
Mississippi College and Shorter meet for the sixth time in history on Thursday. Shorter leads the series 4-1 after winning 82-78 in overtime on Dec. 17 this season. MC's lone victory came on Jan. 10, 2015 in Clinton, 61-54.
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Mississippi College has two of players ranked in the top 15 in scoring in the GSC.
Kelley Allen ranks 11th with 14.2 points per game while
Ashley Minor is 13th averaging 13.3 points.
Allen also ranks among the leaders on glass in the conference. The Puckett, Miss., native is 10th in conference in rebounds with 7.3 per outing.
The Lady Choctaws are second in assists and steals in the GSC. MC is averaging 14.16 assists and 9.7 steals per game. Lee leads the conference in assits with 14.18 while North Alabama has 10.4 steals per game.
SHORTER NOTES
Taylor Adams ranks second in the GSC scoring. Adams is averaging 18.1 points - which sits behind Ivy Wallen of North Alabama. Adams also ranks third in rebounds with 9.2 per game.
Shorter has dropped four of its last six outings, including a 100-70 loss at North Alabama. The setback was the eighth of the season for the Lady Hawks away from the Winthrop-King Centre. SU is 2-8 away from its home floor.
