Mississippi College looks for its third win in four games over Valdosta State on Thursday. MC has claimed the last two meetings on the Blazers' home floor.
Kelley Allen and
Ashley Minor continue to lead the MC offense. Allen leads the team avaeraging 14.5 points per game while Minor has averaged 14 points. Allen has scored in double figures in a team-best 13 games. Minor has 29 career double-digit scoring outings, includingn 11 this season.
Mississippi College leads the GSC in steals and assists per game. The Lady Choctaws are averaging 10.6 steals and 14.4 assists per game.
The Lady Choctaws went 7-3 over the month January, including a stretch of five straight.Â
VALDOSTA STATE NOTES
Valdosta State won its last two outings heading into the GSC contest onn Thursday. The Lady Blazers claimed a 68-62 victory over West Georgia on Thursday and followed with a 69-60 win at West Alabama on Saturday.
VSU ranks second in the GSC in rebounding offense and rebounding defense. The Red and Black are averaging 42.9 offensive boards per game and 34.2 on the defensive end.
