TOUGALOO, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team snapped a four-game slide as it topped Tougaloo College, 71-55, on Tuesday evening at Kroger Athletics and Activity Gymnasium. MC moved to 3-4 while the Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-4.
KEY NOTES
Kelley Allen recorded her third double-double this season and eighth of her career with 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Montoria Atkinson paced Tougaloo with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Debraia Bell added 10 points.
TURNING POINT
After Tougaloo scored the first points on the contest, the Lady Choctaws went on a 16-3 run to grab a double-digit lead with five minutes left to play. The Navy and Gold held as much as 16-point advantage in the first 10 minutes en route to the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs clipped the deficit to under double figures twice in the second quarter, but MC quickly responded by pushing the lead back out to double digits, including a 36-20 advantage at the break.

The Lady Choctaws doubled up the Red and Blue early in the third quarter at 40-20 behind a pair of free throws from
Zariah Matthews. Tougaloo worked the deficit down to within 16 points twice in the quarter and again early in the fourth, but the Lady Choctaws extended the lead and grabbed their largest lead of the game with six minutes to play, 58-35, on a layup from
Jamilah Sanders.
