MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team went a perfect 6-of-6 from the field in overtime to pick up a 95-84 overtime win over Auburn Montgomery on Monday night in the AUM Athletics Complex.
The Choctaws improved to 4-5 overall with a 2-3 mark in the Gulf South Conference, while the Warhawks dropped to 5-6 and 1-3 in league play. MC is now 3-0 all-time against AUM, including wins in each of the past two seasons.

TURNING POINT
- After the Choctaws forced overtime and grabbed a quick 78-76 lead, the Warhawks would take a 79-78 advantage with 4:29 remaining on a three-pointer by Matt McMorris. Senior
Antonio Johnson scored his first points of the night on MC's next possession, knocking down a three-pointer to start a 9-0 run that would put the game away for the boys from Clinton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half went back and forth over the first 13 minutes, and the Warhawks took their largest lead of the game at 28-24 with 6:56 remaining in the opening period.
- The Choctaws responded by scoring the next 17 points, including three long balls by senior
Otis Harvey, and would eventually carry a 43-34 lead into the halftime break.
- AUM answered back with a run of their own as they scored the first seven points of the second half to cut the score to 43-41.
- The Choctaws would keep them at arms length, and when junior
Donovan Ham made a three-pointer with 13:37 remaining, MC took a 56-49 advantage.
- The Warhawks would chip away at the lead and grab 63-62 advantage of their own with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game.
- AUM would eventually push the lead out to as many as five and would carry a 74-70 score into the final three minutes of the contest.

Stacey Mack hit four straight free throws and made a dunk that gave the Choctaws a 76-74 lead with :49 seconds remaining.
- Airen Brooks would send the game to overtime for AUm with a jumper that tied the game at 76-76.
- In overtime, after Johnson kickstarted the 9-0 run, junior
Leito Holloway, who scored a team-high 20 points, would put the game away by making four free throws in the final 30 seconds.

- The Choctaws had their best shooting night of the season, going 34-of-58 (58.6%) from the floor, including a perfect 6-of-6 in overtime.
- MC went 19-of-25 from the free throw line and had 24 assists on their 34 made baskets, led by a career-high eight from
Antonio Johnson.
- Holloway went 7-of-13 from the floor and tallied four rebounds with three assists and a blocked shot.
- Mack scored 19 points with a team-high eight rebounds, going 6-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Xavion Dillon came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points, also going 7-of-8 from the charity stripe.
- The Warhawks shot just 41% from the field, but stayed in the game with 17 second-chance points on 18 offensive rebounds.
- Darrion Taylor scored a game-high 24 points with eight assists, but the sophomore hit just 3-of-13 three-pointers.
- Lafayette James-Core joined Taylor in double-figures with 14 points, while Airen Brooks (12) and Desmond DeRamus (11) came off the bench to put up double-digit points.
