CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against The University of Alabama Huntsville on Friday afternoon. With the draw, the Choctaws record sits at 8-1-2 overall, and 5-1-1 in Gulf South Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Chargers cracked the board in the 34
th minute, when defender Daniel Buchanan played a ball across the field that found Khalil Bell, who was able to sneak a shot past a chraging MC keeper

- MC would tie the match up in the 80
th minute, when
Marco Profumo played a ball to Aurelle Chemin in the box, who found the back of the net for his first goal of the season.
- Neither team was able get on the board in the either of the two 10-minute overtime periods, giving way to the final 1-1 score.

KEY STATS
- MC outshot UAH 18-12 in the contest. Seven of MC's shots came on frame, with five shots in the first half, nine in the second, one in the first overtime period, and three in the second overtime period.
- In Goal, Pelaez nothed three saves on the afternoon, while allowing only one goal. The senior keeper's record now sits at 8-1-2 for the season.
- MC took 11 corner kicks in the match, while UAH took six.
- The Choctaws were tagged for eight fouls, while the Chargers were on the receiving end of 12.
- MC received one yellow card in the match, while UAH received three yellows and red.

- The Choctaws will return to action on Sunday, when they travel to Livingston, Ala. to take on the University of West Alabama in GSC play. Match time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
